Privacy Policy

Effective September 16, 2026. Baby Proof is published by Arch Harbour, LLC. This policy covers the app, including test builds, this website, and support communications.

Which versions this policy covers

The Expo analytics and diagnostic reporting described below applies to native version 2.1.3 and later builds that include Expo Insights and Observe, including TestFlight and Google Play internal testing builds. Availability can differ by platform and testing track. App update checks also contact Expo. Purchases, website visits, and support requests involve the data processing described below.

Children's use and installation identifiers

Baby Proof is designed for supervised use by babies and toddlers. Automatic technical reports can be generated while a child plays. Expo describes its randomly generated installation identifier as anonymous. It is persistent and lets Expo group reports from multiple sessions on the same app installation. An anonymous identifier does not mean that no data is transmitted or processed.

Expo Insights

Expo Insights automatically sends an app launch event to i.expo.dev with a persistent installation ID, platform, app version, and operating system version. We use these technical app analytics to understand launches and version usage. Network delivery also reveals the IP address and ordinary request metadata to the receiving service.

Expo Observe

Expo Observe sends technical startup and performance metrics and EAS Update timings. These include an anonymous installation ID, session IDs, app, build, runtime, operating system and device metadata, frame performance, battery, thermal and network status, and summaries of network requests during launch, including counts, timings, byte totals, and the host and status of the slowest request.

Observe also sends unhandled JavaScript error and native crash diagnostics. Reports can include exception messages and stack traces as well as technical session and device context. Diagnostics may be stored on the device and sent later when connectivity is available, including after a subsequent launch following a crash.

Observe’s Expo Router and React Navigation integrations are disabled in the current configuration. Error messages may still contain contextual data. We use these reports to investigate stability and performance problems.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by the relevant app store and RevenueCat. They may process transaction and entitlement information plus a pseudonymous app identifier to complete purchases and restore eligible worlds with the same store account.

Information stored on your device

The app stores settings, the selected world, a local record of owned themes, touch counts used for sticker progress, and discovered stickers on your device. It also stores when a world's purchase screen was dismissed, to determine eligibility for a later offer when offers are enabled. Store and RevenueCat processing of purchases is separate.

Website and support email

This site is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process ordinary technical request data, such as IP address and request metadata, to deliver and secure the site.

If you email support, we receive the information you include and use it to respond. Please do not send unnecessary information about a child.

Service providers

Apple, Google, and RevenueCat process purchases and restoration on the same platform. Expo processes the app analytics and diagnostics described above. Cloudflare delivers and secures this website. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

Retention, choices, and questions

Expo documents a minimum retention of 60 days for Observe metrics, not a maximum. Observe’s generated installation ID persists across updates and resets after uninstalling and reinstalling. Uninstalling does not delete data already sent to Expo. We do not promise a fixed deletion deadline for Insights data or crash reports.

Builds with Insights and Observe send these reports automatically. There is no parent consent prompt or in app switch to turn all of this reporting off, and the app has no control for deleting reports already held by Expo. You can contact [email protected] with privacy questions or requests; what we can access or delete depends on the records and provider. Please do not include a child's personal information. Store transaction records are subject to Apple or Google account controls and retention rules.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. We will post the revised effective date here and describe material changes before or when they take effect.
